What’s your addiction?

Addiction is an in-your-face word for dependency, and dependency is an in-your-face word for all those things that control me. And control is a strong word for daily habits I fall into of eating or not eating, drinking or not drinking, buying or not buying, looking or not looking, phoning or not phoning, falling or not falling, tweating or not tweating, forgiving or not forgiving, being distracted or not being distracted, and in general taking the easy way rather than the better way… If you don’t know what I’m talking about then IMHO you are naive, in denial or the sort of person I would really like to understand better and learn from. Enough raving. This book on the subject by an reformed alcoholic looks interesting: it’s called The Fix and here’s a brief review.
